Here are some of our most popular truffle combinations… 

 

  • The “Hawk Howzer”: dark chocolate ganache with ginger and cranberries enrobed in crisp bittersweet chocolate and garnished with a sliver of crystallized ginger

 

 

  • Innisfree: creamy milk chocolate ganache with coffee and Irish whiskey, enrobed in milk chocolate and topped with roasted coffee beans

 

 

 

  • The Nuthouse: creamy peanut butter and milk chocolate ganache enrobed in milk chocolate and topped with a sprinkling of nuts

 

 

  • The Cheesy Grin: white chocolate ganache with white veined cheese and cranberry sauce, coated in crisp bittersweet chocolate and topped with a sliver of dried cranberry

 

 

  • Summer Sparkle: creamy white chocolate ganache with pink champagne and ruby grapefruit, enrobed in bittersweet chocolate and topped with candied grapefruit zest.

 

 

  • Almorange: orange, cream and dark chocolate ganache enrobed in  bittersweet orange and almond chocolate, topped with crystallized orange peel

 

 

 

  • The Chilli-Biter: dark chocolate, chilli and coconut cream ganache enrobed in bittersweet chocolate and topped with a sprinking of dried coconut and chillies (our basic chilli ganache recipe is quite subtle, but if you prefer something with a higher steam-factor, we will happily oblige!)

 

 

  • Durban Delight: creamy milk chocolate ganache with spicy curry and coconut cream, enrobed in milk chocolate with a dash of turmeric (subtle, fragrant and mild)

 

 

 

 

  • Chai Tea: creamy milk chocolate with a heady mix of green tea, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and cloves, enrobed in milk chocolate and a sprinkle of cinnamon

 

 

  • Christmas Spice: a mixture of allspice, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and brandy, enrobed with milk chocolate and topped with a white chocolate topping.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Mint: ganache base of either bittersweet or milk chocolate, with contrasting coating, topped with mint crisp

 

 

 

  • Pecan caramel: buttery caramel chocolate ganache with pecan nuts, enrobed in milk chocolate, brushed with a glimmer of gold and topped with chopped pecan nuts

 

 

 

 

  • Bailey's: milk chocolate ganache with Bailey's cream, coated in bronze-sheened milk chocolate

It’s as easy as 1, 2 and 3...

 

Step 1: Choose your chocolate ganache base: dark, milk, white or caramel....  

 

Step 2: Choose your flavour combinations (some ideas below to get those brain cells ticking).

Please note that all of our truffles are freshly made for each order and so we need to be sure that your flavour choices are available at the time... 

 

Step 3: Choose your enrobing chocolate: dark (85%, 75% or 70% cocoa content), milk, white or caramel... 

 

Some ideas for flavours: All ingredients are subject to availability and seasonal fluctuations... 

 

FRUITY AND SUMMERY: 

Citrus:  orange, grapefruit (white or ruby), lime, naartjie (tangerine for non-Sarf-Efricans), lemon, kumquat 

Berry: Strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, cranberry, mulberry, blackberry 

Deciduous: Apple, peach, apricot, pear, mango (not sure if mango is deciduous or tropical but can be done in season!), nectarine 

 

NUTTY: pecan, walnut, peanut, macadamia, brazil, hazelnut (when available)

 

BOOZY: Any spirit of your choice, subject to availability, so Brandy, whiskey (rye, Irish or Scotch), rum, vodka, cane (!) or state your preference 

Wines and fortified wines: Sparkling white or pink wines, port (tawny or ruby), sherry (choose your dryness level) 

Liqueurs: Ask for what you want…popular ones are Kaluah, Baileys,Cape Velvet, Amarula, mint (Creme de Menthe), and orange (Cointreau)   

 

SPICY: Traditional spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves…the Christmassy ones) The hot variety: curry and curry spices (how much steam do you want coming out of your ears?), chilli, mint (ok, ok, I know mint is a herb not a spice, but you can have it - fresh if you want. So too with other herbs such as rosemary and thyme)

 

BEVERAGES: Coffee, green tea, chai tea, Milo, Horlicks or ask for your preferred cuppa. 

 

CREAMY – CHEESY: White veined cheese, blue veined cheese, cream or cottage cheese, mascarpone, camembert, brie or ask for your favourite (also subject to availability)
